Disability Pride Party 2026

Grab your friends and join us on Tuesday, August 18, for a Disability Pride Party! We'll be at Forest City Brewery from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. to celebrate disability pride and the 36th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) with activities, a drag show, and more! The Disability Pride Party is free to attend. Food, drinks, and other items are available for purchase.

What Can I Expect at the Disability Pride Party?

• Community Storytelling: Hear members of the disability community talk about Disability Pride
• Disability Trivia: Interact with others during some fun and informative trivia
• Drag Show: Enjoy a drag show with disabled performers
• Crafting: Get creative making a craft to take home

What Does My Ticket Include?

Your free ticket includes entry into the event. Enjoy the storytelling, trivia, crafting and drag show at no cost to you!

Will I Need to Pay for Anything?

Yes. You will need to purchase your own food and drinks.

There will also be an option to buy Disability Pride swag! You can also donate to Linking Employment, Abilities and Potential (LEAP).

Who Can Attend the Disability Pride Party?

Anyone 16 years or older can attend the Disability Pride Party. This is the venue's age limit, so we cannot make any exceptions.

Do I Need To Stay The Entire Night?

No. You are welcome to come and go, please!

Accessibility

• The Waldorf Beer Hall has an accessible entrance on Freeman Avenue and an interior ramp to the dining area
• The outdoor patio area is hard-packed dirt and mulch
• There is a wheelchair-accessible restroom, and the stage will be ramped
• ASL interpretation and CART captioning will be provided
• Braille materials and an audible visual description will be provided
• Masking is encouraged, and masks will be provided
• Access Ushers will be available to provide support to guests who need assistance
• Signage will be posted to direct guests to the party and restrooms
